I spent quite a few years clubbing around Merseyside (grew tired of it though) and it’s nothing like that scene in Blade.

Well, apart from the blood..

I kinda miss those days hanging out at Cream, Garlands until 6am (remember when it burnt down!?) and Masquerade (remember when it flooded!!), but especially causing riots and breaking limbs (mostly my own) in the mosh pit of Stairways and being beaten up by the scallies coming out of Dreamers on a Saturday night. Sigh, those were the days.

I’m a sucker for happy techno though (especially hard psy-trance – GO LIVERPOOL!)

Two more things!

One – If you haven’t seen Humboldt County yet, you should. It’s one of the finest films I’ve seen in years.

Two – Not that it’s a “thing”, but this’ll probably be my last post for a while, it’s been ages since I spent more than an hour away from a keyboard so I’m going to take some Rootime.
