Dear photoblogging, (edit – I got a bit carried away and wrote stuff too, heh.)

It's just you and me now.

Love,

Roo.

This is what I have to put up with on a daily basis, it's why I was hiding in the tree!

She doesn't actually know how to read, she just likes the dazzling array of primary colours on the covers.

I did lots more cleaning inside (the floor's already dirty, stupid shoe wearing gits) and outside the house today, it was nice.

Yesterday I replaced a broken windowpane in the front door, about ten minutes in a policeman approached me (from behind with his truncheon out) and told me to turn around and drop my tools, which consisted of a hammer borrowed from a housemate and a butter spreading knife to remove the wooden panels.

I turned around, smiled, told him I lived here and said I was going to reach slowly for my keys to prove it, he kind of jumped backwards slightly and agreed, but looked ready to pounce at any second, he told me to go slow (inside my head I was laughing quite hysterically at this point, it was pretty comical), I reached for my keys and showed him the door was unlocked, and then locked it, and unlocked it.

He seemed satisfied but then asked to see some paperwork with my address on it, the only thing I have sent here is my bank statements, which I usually rip up and recycle, so I had to rummage through the recycling container trying to piece together the parts with my name and address on. He again, seemed satisfied. Before he left he looked me up and down, looked at my tools and laughed as he said “Well, you obviously look like you know what you're doing.” – Sarcastic bugger I wish I'd asked him to pose with me, instead I'll just have to be happy with the fact that I fought the law with a butter spreading knife and a borrowed hammer, and won.

Oh and last night during Earth Hour (which I was going to post a rant about but decided not to) the Laser Pointer Family who live opposite (and seem to own half the block) didn't have any of their lights out, I noticed quite a few drivers slowing down and honking to show their annoyance. Yes, driving. Oh the irony. There were also quite a few television helicopter things hovering about just before 8pm too, probably filming as the lights flickered out. Yes, helicopters.

Take that global warming!

I think I was thirteen or fourteen in most of these photos.

Yeah, I had gold jewellery in my nose (I was young and foolish).

Dear Toronto,

I'm not a jealous guy, but over the past twenty-four hours I've noticed you've been paying rather a lot of attention to U2.

U2 suck, SRSLY

I hope this doesn't interfere with our relationship and we can move forward.

Roo.

RooRaaah-Crumbs Grenouille - 21:55, March 15, 2008

The snow in the front garden's melted so much today, as I was sat outside I noticed some petals poking through the permafrost, there was a rose tulip burrowed in like a little tick so I put on my archaeologist hat and dug it out carefully..

Excuse the terrible quality, I only have my camera phone.

It was very close to the level of the soil so I'm guessing someone lobbed it just after the snow started falling, or it sank as the snow melted, either way it's definitely Egyptian. I'm going to distil the petals and take over the world.

What?! It's worth a try
