Finally got round to installing Ubuntu Linux as my primary operating system (on a third hot-swappable SATA drive), just have to see if all the device drivers and applications work now.
I'm liking it so far though.
Not sure if I can cope with more nice things happening to me today, I'm not going to spill everything though until stuff's more concrete.
OH THE MYSTERY!
I wish I didn't always wake up at 5am every morning, it makes the day so much longer, bad brain.
